Casa Blue Wind is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom ocean view Villa built high above the Manuel Antonio Bay and Pacific Ocean.
Our home offers a relaxing tropical retreat where our guests enjoy the classic Costa Rican indoor/outdoor lifestyle at a terrific value.
Set in a lush tropical garden setting, CBW is rustic in theme and ideal for family, group or romantic vacations.

We offer two different rate options; One for the entire Villa and a reduced rate for just the upper level only (click on "Rates").

Casa Blue Wind was completed in 1991. The Villa is a split level design comprised of 2,500 square feet of indoor and covered veranda area on a 10,000 square foot lot.
The upper level is 1,700 square feet and the lower level is 800 square feet.
Over the last 5 years we have completed numerous upgrades, remodels and renovations that include all new door and window systems, a/c units, kitchen, bathrooms, lighting, furniture, entertainment system, ceiling fans and more.
* Upper Level Veranda *
The centerpiece of CBW is the large covered main upper level veranda. It has a world class view of the Pacific Ocean, Manuel Antonio State Park and Bay, and the surrounding jungle.

The veranda includes a large comfortable seating area that's an outdoor living room along with an 8-person dining room table with direct service from the kitchen. There's also a large gas BBQ and wet bar.
Troops of monkeys are frequent visitors to our garden area in close up and plain view from the veranda. They usually put on quite a show!

* Swimming Pool *
CBW offers one of the largest swimming pools of any home in the area. It's a fully tiled 31' x 19' beauty. The pool runs from 3 1/2' to 6' deep and has a swim up covered rancho bar with 4 underwater stools to stay cool while enjoying a beverage. The bar is equipped with electrical outlets, lights, plenty of counter space and sink.
Professional pool service is provided twice a week by the same pool company that handles many of the major hotels' pools in the area.

* Living Room *
CBW's living room is located on the main upper level. It is a light and bright area with an open flow space plan to the kitchen, upper veranda, 2 bedrooms and bathroom.
There's also an upright bar that includes plenty of cups, glasses, blender, ice bucket, gadgets and more to whip up your favorite tropical beverages.
The entertainment system includes:
* Sony Trinitron Color TV
* Cable TV with many popular US Channels in English. These include ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN International, Headline News, Fox News, ESPN, E!, movie channels and more.
* Panansonic 1,000 watt stereo with integrated iPod dock/charger, DVD, CD, USB port and MP3 pin input.
* Kitchen *
CBW offers a modern kitchen with direct access to the outdoor dining area on the upper level veranda. It's equipped with everything you'll need to create and serve memorable meals while looking out over the National Park and Pacific.

* Upper Level Master Bedroom *
"The Monkey Room"
The Monkey Room is the upper level master bedroom. It includes a custom iron king size bed with American quality mattress and linens. It has it's own a/c unit, light blocking drapes, ceiling fan, floor fan, wood closets and small ocean view veranda with direct access to the garden.
* Upper Level Guest Bedroom *
"The Iguana Room"
The Iguana Room is the upper level guest bedroom. It includes a custom iron queen size bed with American quality mattress and linens. It has it's own a/c unit, light blocking drapes, ceiling fan, floor fan, wood closets and security lockbox.
* Upper Level Bathroom *
The upper level bathroom is a full bathroom recently remodeled that offers custom river rock tiles, double vanity with custom glass vessel sinks, bamboo faucets, walk in shower, full size toilet, upgraded lighting and ceiling fan.
* Lower Level Master Bedroom *
"The Toucan Room"
The Toucan Room is the lower level master bedroom. It includes a custom iron king size bed with American quality mattress and linens. It has it's own a/c unit, light blocking drapes, ceiling fan, floor fan, telephone, and Color TV with Cable and DVD/CD unit. The Toucan Room has ocean and jungle views with direct access to the lower level covered veranda and garden area.
The "Sleeping Porch"
* Lower Level Guest Bedroom *
The Sleeping Porch is the lower level guest bedroom. It has one double bed and a bunk bed with American quality mattresses. It's perfect for overflow for larger parties or for the kids. There's direct access to both the ocean view veranda and to the pool area. The Sleeping Porch includes it's own a/c unit, light blocking drapes, ceiling fan and floor fan.
* Lower Level Bathroom *
The lower level bathroom is a full bathroom recently remodeld and expanded that offers a variety of custom slate and sandstone rock tiles, vanity with custom glass vessel sink, bamboo faucet, walk in shower, full size toilet, upgraded lighting and ceiling fan.
* Lower Level Veranda *
The Lower Level veranda is another great spot to relax and enjoy the spectacular ocean and jungle views. There's direct access from both the Toucan Room and the Sleeping Porch. The far end of the veranda leads out to the garden area.
* Laundry Facility *
CBW has a covered on-site laundry facility located just a few steps off the main entrance in the back of the upper level of the house. We have American quality full size washer and dryer along with an iron and ironing board.
* Property Manager & Special Services *
Our local property manager is readily available and very helpful. He's an American ex-patriate who has lived and worked in the area for over 15 years. He speaks the local Tico Spanish fluently and is an expert at setting up adventure tours with only proven operators at the best values for everything from deep sea fishing to canopy tours to a guided tour through Manuel Antonio National Park. He's a wondeful people-person who is a wealth of knowledge on everywhere to eat, drink, shop, spa and see.
We offer one complimentary maid service for each 7 nights. Additional maid services are available on demand at reasonable rates.
Our maid is an excellent chef of local fare and would be happy to cook and clean any meals at reasonable rates. Our property manager also has a list of independent local chefs at varying rates if you'd prefer something a bit more upscale or even gourmet.
We provide pre-shopping services at reasonable rates so you don't have to rush out and shop upon your arrival. You can send us your shopping list a few days before your arrival date. Our property manager will have the shelves and refrigerator stocked when you get to CBW so you can immediately unwind, make a beverage, grab a snack and start relaxing. We are more than happy to front the funds and you can conveniently settle up directly with our property manager.
